Lefkara – Half-Day, Family-Friendly Program
We begin our excursion at the Golden Donkey Farm, where you’ll get a glimpse into rural farm life, learn about the production of Commandaria wine and Zivania, and see one of the island’s oldest trees—a nearly 2,000-year-old olive tree at the farm’s main square. Children can meet the farm animals and even test their strength by trying to turn an old olive mill. At the end of the tour, there is an option (for an additional fee) to try donkey riding. The farm shop offers unique donkey milk-based products and cosmetics for purchase. We will spend approximately 2 hours at the farm.
Continuing our journey, we will soon reach the picturesque village of Lefkara, located at an altitude of 700 meters. Lefkara is famous for its traditional embroidery, Lefkaritika, and its silversmithing. We will take a short (approx. 45-minute) group walk through the winding, flower-decorated streets and visit the Church of the Holy Cross, which houses a relic of Jesus’ cross.
During the 1-hour free time in Lefkara, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and shop for souvenirs. (The program price does not include the cost of meals.)
After Lefkara, we ascend further into the Troodos Mountains to reach the Terra Olive Farm, home to over 7,000 olive trees producing valuable olives. Here, you’ll learn about the olive oil production process and have the chance to sample and purchase organic products. The farm visit, including tastings, lasts 1 hour.

Lefkara – félnapos, családbarát program
Az Arany Szamár farmon kezdjük a kirándulást, ahol bepillantást nyerhetnek egy vidéki farm életébe, megismerhetik a Commandaria bor és a Zivania készítésének módját, és nem utolsó sorban megtekinthetik a sziget egyik legöregebb fáját, a közel 2000 éves olajfát a farm főterén, A gyermekek találkozhatnak a farmon élő állatokkal, kipróbálhatják, hogy elég erősek-e egy olajmalom megmogforgatásához. A farm túra végén lehetőség lesz külön díj ellenében “szamaragolásra” is. A farmon kb 2 órát töltünk.
