Lefkara - Mazotos Tevepark, family-friendly programme

We start our excursion with a visit to one of the most beautiful villages in the Troodos Mountains. Lefkara is justly famous for its handicrafts, Lefkaritika, and silverwork. We will take a short walk through the winding, narrow streets of the village and visit the Church of the Holy Cross, where a piece of Jesus' cross is kept. As a free time activity, you can enjoy a delicious coffee in one of the cosy cafés.

Continuing our journey, climbing even higher up the Troodos, we reach the Terra Oliva farm, where more than 7000 olive trees produce their precious harvest. Among these, the oldest tree on the farm has a special place. You can learn about the process of olive oil production and taste and buy the produce of the organic farm.

The tour continues in Mazotos, where we visit the largest camel park in Europe. Founded in 1998, the park is now home to more than 60 camels, ostriches, alpacas, pygmy kangaroos and ring-tailed lemurs. You can also admire the fish in the aquarium. After a visit to the park, you can try camel riding at your leisure. For the more adventurous, you can even try camel milk at the buffet. You can also get up close and personal with the ring-tailed lemurs, which can be hand-fed for an extra fee when you enter the cage.
